M.S., Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Brenda Martinez

Hi, I’m Brenda Martinez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with teens and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive and comfortable space where you feel heard, understood, and able to show up as yourself without judgment.
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2019 with a specialization in Services to Hispanic Children and Families. My approach to therapy is gentle, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and empowering, and I work with clients to build healthy coping skills while also creating space to process emotions and life experiences at their own pace. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness to help clients better understand patterns, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives.
As a bilingual therapist, I provide services in both English and Spanish. I became a therapist after recognizing the lack of accessible mental health support within Hispanic communities and the stigma many people face when seeking help. Being able to offer culturally understanding care and normalize conversations around mental health is something I deeply value.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and fishing.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you do not have to navigate things alone. I would be honored to support you in your healing and growth journey.
